Welcome to the Blacksmith Cabin in gorgeous Lyons, Colorado!
An old (1883) Blacksmith log cabin on a full acre along North Saint Vrain Creek. Approximately four miles west of Lyons and 16 miles east of Estes Park. Newly renovated and furnished to provide a cozy mountain vacation experience. There’s an indoor woodburning fireplace great for those cold mountain nights. Come enjoy the fresh mountain air and sit along the creek or go for a hike up a Button Rock!

If you want a quiet, relaxing setting and aren’t afraid to stoke a fire then come on visit this historical BlackSmith Cottage. The river is great for fishing and you have your own private access to it on our property. A fire pit right along the creek where you can kick back and enjoy the sounds of nature and relax.
Sleeping: Queen bedroom with a dresser and back patio entrance. There’s a Full Futon in the Living room
Kitchen: Refrigerator, Electric Stove, Microwave, Toaster, Coffee Maker, Dishes, Cooking Utensils, with tons of Spices!
Bathroom: Standing Shower, Vanity, and Washer Dryer
Ceiling Fans, Wood Fireplace, and Wall Heaters
Environmentally Safe Cleaning Products, Detergent, Septic safe Paper Towels and Toilet Paper Provided.
Pets – Additional $50 Cleaning Fee – To protect our property and the wildlife, Pets must be on leash at all times.
If you are coming from Lyons you will turn Left just after county road 80 onto our private drive. You will drive down the road past the parking lot and continue to follow the one way dirt road around the curve to the Blacksmith Cabin on your right. Please park next to the cabin to unload your things and then keep following the one way drive around and back to the parking lot. It will be a short walk from the parking lot to your cabin. We wanted to keep the property quiet, peaceful and natural for all of our guests so you can enjoy all the property has to offer! Please feel free to check out our property but please be mindful of other guests. You will have access to the river and our property! Feel free to explore but please be mindful as we do have 10 other cabins throughout the property where other guests are staying.
Wildlife: We are in the mountains and do have wildlife walking through the property regularly such as Black Bear, Elk, Fox and Bobcat etc. That being said please keep your distance, these are wild animals and we are in their space. Please do not approach them as we want them to come back. Keep a safe distance and enjoy their presence. Please keep your car doors locked and throw away any and all food into our bear proof bin located in the brown box near the Lodge driveway.
Outdoor Firepits: We have 5 outdoor gas firepits that you are more then welcome to use but please remember to turn the fire pit and the propane off before you leave. Thank you! Enjoy!
River and Fire Bans- The River is cold mountain run off and is also at times very deep and fast. Please be aware of this and stay a safe distance when enjoying! We will let you know about any fire bans that might come up in the area.
